Unit 1 Space and Environment: Thumbnails

Above is a drawing for the angel, an idea of a more elegant pose. But I feel it is now too seductive. In 1, I felt her wings were too small so I resized them in 2. 3 I forgot the veil in the book, so I added it. In 4 I re drew her hair to try and look more womanly rather than game-chick, but, I think the pose will just need a total remake.

Steps for putting her into a scene.
Added some tone

Some colour variants. I am enjoying the 3rd.

I am struggling with the cave scene with the fire. I drew this today, but totally forgot the fire is supposed to be accessible for walking in, and I drew it in some sort of dish, so this will need a total re design, too!

May be hard to notice but one is slightly more purple. I wasn't really "feeling" this picture, as you can see!!

CGI Artist's ToolKit: Photoshop Lesson 3

Today in our photoshop lesson we were taught how to create interesting textures and use the perception transforrm tool.
Enjoying using photoshop though I still don't know how to use most of the basic tools, yet!

CGI Artist's ToolKit: photoshop

This was our second lesson in photoshop. I had lost my previous work due to not saving it properly, sigh. This lesson i didn't have a tablet, so was using mouse, but we were loosing at creating perspective and scenes using the lasso tool, and filling in to create interesting shapes.
Above is with an added pink lighting. i like this affect, but don't know if i prefer it to below.

CGI Artist's Tool Kit: Maya Pencil & Eraser Character

Made many many mistakes! A re-do is needed, but for now, here is the disaster I made. =) I know where I went wrong, but as I had deleted history It's not something I can fix without starting again!

Unit 1 Cinematic Spaces: Thumbnails

Here are a few more thumbnails I produced on Photoshop. I've been struggling with the programme and been finding it difficult to produce work that doesn't look flat, as well as using the tablet, but progress is being made, at least.
Scene one, the city of Kor.
Using this colour scheme:
Here are coloured versions of this piece
1

2

3
I like 3 the most so far.

Here is the scene inside the cave. I don't think the colours here show the atmosphere of the scene, but here you can see I have discovered a better brush to use. =) Here I got very cartoony with the style, a bad habit.

CGI Artist's ToolKit: Life Drawing

Here are my pieces from previous life drawing sessions.
Apologies for the awful quality pictures, I struggled taking photos of them alone.
This piece, my eye with vision was blocked, and had to use my blind eye to draw. (Which is why it may not fit the brief)
Now with vision =) Looking at negative spaces.
Above, again still looking at negatives.
